MIPCOM is where the world's television gets traded. For four days in October the Palais fills with the people who commission, sell, and finance what everyone will be watching next year, and the schedule is a wall of fifteen-minute meetings from breakfast to the evening screenings. The UK arrives as the second-largest buyer on the floor. The deals get made on the Croisette terraces once the badges come off.
